To calculate Equal Time Points (ETPs) and Extended-range Twin-engine Operations Performance Standards (ETOPs), first fill in the basic fight planning information at the top 1 .

For this article, we will be using Teterboro Airport (KTEB) and London Stansted Airport (EGGS) as transatlantic flight examples.

Then select the Plot button 2 to bring up the Route Map.

To select your ETPs and ETOPs, use the map to find the best airports based on your chosen route. You will see the airports labeled with a blue circle 5 which would St. Johns.

Here we will enter our Coast Out airport ICAOs 9 and Coast In airport ICAOs 10 . We do not need to select a Policy unless you know which one you would like to select.

It is preprogrammed to count for 3 different EP Policies for depressurization, loss of one engine, and a medical scenario.

For the ETOPs 11 you can use the same airports used for ETPs or choose different airports for your route. You can select the Plot ETOPs button 12 to view them on the map.
