The differences below compare the current UWA documents with the current World Fuel documents.
Trip Cost Estimate
The disclaimer appears on the last page instead of the first.
The disclaimer does not mention fuel services.
The currency is not specifically stated as USD, but it can be assumed to be USD unless otherwise noted.
Example below:
Mission Brief → Trip Summary
The Trip Summary replaces the Mission Brief.
Contains the same core information, but is organized by leg instead of by service.
Services only appear:
If needed, or
If the customer has stated they are handling the service on their own.
Example below:
New: Handling and Airport Information Section
This section includes:
Country threat level and security information
Handling details
Airport details
Fuel providers (if available)
Each airport with confirmed handling will include the same categories of information.
Additional Updates
Bulletins are now combined for:
Airports
Cities
Countries
Example below:
NOTAMs are included for all airports.
Certain NOTAMs will appear in red if they contain keywords that may impact operations (e.g., CLSD, CLOSED).
Airport Handler Brief → Handling & Airport Information
This information is now included in the Trip Summary, but it can also be created and sent separately.
Can be used to send airport information without creating a trip.
Includes new country threat level and security information.
Example below:
Handler Details
Does not include:
Manager’s name
Handler fees
Airport fees
Airport Details
Does not include:
Drive time to downtown
Distance to downtown
Service Confirmations → Trip Summary
Service confirmation details are now included in the Trip Summary.
Information is organized by leg and location.
Example below:
Invoices
For now, invoices will function as follows:
No overview page.
First-party and third-party charges are sent separately.
Charges are listed chronologically (not separated by leg sections).
Example below:
How Charges Appear
Services at a location will show the ICAO in either the ORIG or DEST field.
Services for a flight leg will show ICAOs in both ORIG and DEST fields.
If a service is revised:
It will only include “REVISION” in the name if it is specifically a revision charge.
If the change results in a full new charge, the service will appear again under the same name.
It is possible to see multiple line items with the same name. These are valid charges and not duplicates.
Third-Party Invoices
Typically show services at the destination ICAO only.
If two ICAOs are listed, the charge applies to the flight leg (commonly navigation fees or overflight permits).
There may be multiple invoices per trip, depending on when providers submit charges.
Each line item description reflects the specific charge.
Backup documentation is provided when applicable.
Other UWA Documents
Hotel Options / Rates
World Fuel does not currently provide a formal document for hotel options and rates.
Options and pricing will be communicated via email or phone for the foreseeable future.
Hotel Confirmation
The Trip Brief includes hotel confirmation information.
It includes the confirmation number, number of rooms booked, the rate, cancellation policy, and any additional notes about the bookings.
Any additional hotel details will need to be sent separately.
MA72
Previously a shortened version of the Mission Brief (single leg).
The Trip Summary will replace this document.
Feasibility Guide
Similar to the Handling and Airport Information section, but with significantly more detail.
Will continue to be available in Feasibility-IQ.
Feasibility-IQ will be accessible through myWorld in the future.
