Feasibility-IQ Permits allows you to instantly identify all required overflight and landing permits and their lead times for any route.
Here's a video overview:
Step-by-Step How-to:
Select the Feasibility-IQ icon 1 from the menu to get started, then choose Permits 2.
Next, input your basic flight details and your aircraft.
Note: You’ll need to have at least one aircraft loaded on your account. To add an aircraft profile, please visit this knowledge base article: Add an Aircraft Profile to your uvGO Account
First, select your aircraft registry 3, speed 4, and your chosen FAR type 5—let's use Part 91 for this example. Specify the purpose of flight 6; for this example let's use business. The Airworthiness Certificate defaults to standard; if you have a non-standard certificate, make sure to select it 7. The Tech Stop option defaults to No; select Yes if you need to add a Tech Stop 8, as this will affect your results.
Then choose your departure 9 and arrival airports 10. For this example, we'll use DNMM for Lagos and FACT for Cape Town. Then, select your departure date 11 and time 12.
If your profile doesn't have a registry, you can choose from one of our generic aircraft options.
Start by selecting "Generic Aircraft".
Next, click on "Select a Manufacturer" to open the dropdown menu, and choose your preferred manufacturer.
After entering the basic information, add your route. You can input your own route from any flight planning system, or select from multiple options available, including pre-built routes by Universal.
For this example, we’ll use a custom route [drop in this: PISBA1Q PISBA UG856 BIPIV DCT IPOTA DCT ILDAN DCT ONLEN DCT NERUP DCT 10S009E DCT EGNAB UN184 VMO UN190 XALVI UN188 ABV UQ62 ASPIK ASPIK1A] 13
You can also choose to select from multiple options available, including pre-built routes by Universal, optimized for best winds, and direct airport-to-airport routes 14 for your ICAO pair.
On the map view 15, you can now see your route.
Next, select Generate Report 16.
Feasibility-IQ will quickly identify all FIRs, entry and exit points - with times and flight altitude - and all the overflight and landing permits you need, with their lead times.
You can also drill into any of these permits for full details 17.
Here you can view all the details for the required permit including the official CAA permit lead times based on your FAR type.
